We carry out inquiries with sources in relevant circles who are able to contribute key information that doesn’t surface in the public record, offering an insider’s perspective into how an individual ticks, and the impact it would have on the direction of a company. 

 

Through this exercise, we present a nuanced professional narrative and character snapshot, identifying successes and failures, motivations for career transitions, and how best to engage with the individual. We recognize the uniqueness of each engagement and provide only those interviews that are substantive. For every interview, we always present ourselves as Espile, reaching out on behalf of a client.

Deep Dive Public Record Research

 

We conduct comprehensive research of litigation, criminal, debtor instruments, regulatory records, assets, as well as traditional and social media. We put no arbitrary limits on scope, such as restrictions based on a timeframe or names searched. 

 

In addition to the traditional scope, our goal is to conduct research to identify issues concerning professional experience, conflict of interests, entanglements, and undisclosed relationships. 

 

Whether the engagement is for a private equity deal or vetting a director nominee, we leverage the public record to evaluate an individual’s fitness for the role. We put ourselves in the investor shoes, and present findings in a manner that reflects their relevance to the situation.
